Competiton # 2009-072 Start Rate: $24.57 Maximum Rate: $ 28.49 Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the incumbent will design, create, update and maintain Humber College web sites and digital media. Specifically the incumbent will ensure accurate updates, troubleshoot technical problems and implement new Web and digital applications and solutions. In addition, the incumbent will provide technical support and moderate the virtual community initiative, assist in the overall Digital Development and Web development strategy by staying abreast of new trends in technology, advise, communicate and coordinate with Humber’s departments on web site issues and initiatives and provide recommendations for web site architecture, overall site structure, and new digital solutions. The successful candidate will possess a three year college diploma or degree preferably in the field of Computer Science, Web Development or Multimedia Design along with a minimum of three years of related experience designing, creating, and updating websites to W3C standards. In addition the successful candidate will possess: demonstrated fluency in web development technologies, languages and platforms, including Java, JavaScript, ASP.net, Adobe Web Suite Premium CS3, ActionScript 3.0, PHP, mySQL, dhtml, xhtml, css, xml, Ajax; experience with metric tracking implementation and analysis; experience working with Content Management Systems; excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to work independently as well as part of a team; the ability to respond quickly to changing needs; and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
