| Courseware Developers are responsible for the development of elearning courses that can be deployed to our internal LMS or to a clients LMS. - Creation of course templates for each course, re-using code and content as appropriate -Development of course content, including animations, learning activities, integrations of audio and text, and creating Flash files. -Review of, contribution to and adherence to project timelines -Ongoing status reports, and immediate communication of issues arising that may affect delivery times -Ensuring that appropriate file storage protocols are used -Ensuring coding practices follow a documented, standardized formats This position interacts with the owner, clients, internal staff and developers – it is important that this individual can communicate ideas and work effectively in a team environment where there are timeline considerations and where the focus is on quality and attention to detail Must be able to find effective solutions to problems as they arise, and implement solutions. Where feasible , solutions must be used to be “reusable” or integrated into the best practices and/or policies of JAV group Once a project has been assigned/awarded, the developer is responsible for the full scope of the assignment, and the submission of progress reports based on agreed timelines. Time management is critical to this function. The developer is fully accountable for the execution of the project pieces under their control, and delivery to the level of quality expected. High level proficiency with C3/4, Actionscript3 Flash, xml, illustrator, audio files, video files and rapid development products, Microsoft Office Products Creation of prototypes of screen layouts based on client specifications, completion of technical specs for style guide to be used in development. Demonstrates clear understanding of the use of code libraries and reusable design protocols to ensure that the costs of development are minimized, and that there are sufficient QA opportunities in the development process to ensure early detection of issues. Delivers acceptable product as agreed to. Source files, developed files, documentation is up to date, appropriately referenced, and version control is maintained. Future revisions to course content can be accomplished easily without re-working of course structure. Participate in quality assurance activities, making necessary changes to screens or content and maintaining the validity of version controls. Ability to work with team as necessary to ensure project quality, meeting timelines and making ongoing improvements to JAV processes. Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential): -Certifications/proficiency in Flash programming, xml, actionscript3, CS3/4 -Demonstrated capability in development of elearning content using a multimedia approach -Demonstrated capability in creating unique source code that is reusable. Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable): - Experience with rapid development elearning products - Knowledge of project management protocols | |||
