| As a member of the Pearson Group, ERPI (Éditions du Renouveau Pédagogique Inc.) is the leader in Quebec in editing and publishing schoolbooks, the number one ESL (English as a second language) publisher and distributor in Canada and DLM (Diffusion du livre Mirabel) is the number one distributor of Quebec publishers of children’s literature and comic books. www.erpi.com We are currently recruiting for a: MANAGER, INFRASTRUCTURE AND NEW MEDIA DEVELOPMENT Montreal Location Reporting to the Vice-President, Cross Media Publishing Services (Pearson Education in Toronto), you will be responsible for website management, implementing web applications and systems and creating media products. You will evaluate and monitor system infrastructures and maintain systems and procedures in order to safeguard internal information systems. In addition, you will closely manage the overall costing for the New Media sector. You will research, recommend, and implement changes to enhance system security as well as educate and communicate security requirements and procedures to all users and new employees. You will manage the development and production for a range of e-learning tools and technological products as well as develop and maintain the Company website and online catalogues. You will also institute and ensure effective project management practices. In collaboration with the Vice Presidents of Publishing, you will define a strategic direction, recruit and manage vendors and liaise with other Pearson Canada and worldwide departments. You will supervise a team of people with specialization in new media integration. As the successful candidate, you possess a University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management or e-commerce as well have a minimum of 7 years in developing e-learning programs or designing content for educational technology and 3 years in project management in delivering solutions through technology. You have a solid understanding of full project life cycle from concept to programming and product delivery. You are fully bilingual (French & English). You are known for your ability to work in collaboration with various teams and your interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills. In addition, you are customer service oriented and have proven effectiveness in team management. You have shown integrity and are engaged. You are familiar with operating systems such as UNIX, LINUX, Microsoft Office tools and HTLM, DHTLM, Flash, XML, PDF, JavaScript, audio and video assets, mobile formats, IMS and SCORM.
