| The Opportunity Senior Manager, Business Information Management Projects Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Information Mgmt, this position is responsible for delivering (in conjunction with the Senior Director) an approved Retail Markets-wide employee business information solution. This project will serve to improve the employee experience and improve accuracy of information delivered to customers by improving navigation and retrieval of information, standardizing technical writing standards, standardizing/rationalizing the technology platforms and improving efficiency and increasing reusability of information from across multiple information sources. • Assume responsibility for approved project execution and ensure that established targets are met (timelines, resources, costs and benefits realization). Ensure any required approvals on project progress or problem resolution are obtained as required, in a timely manner. Assess resource needs, develop contingency plans, co-ordinate actions and work to involve all appropriate stakeholders. • Negotiate for staff support to ensure that all the appropriate disciplines and stakeholders are represented at the table. Typically the team involves jobs from different areas who contribute to the • Direct frontline usability testing to achieve inputs into creation of a new and improved information architecture. Facilitate a card sort activity and lead the results analysis to translate into the new information architecture. • Oversee the creation of new content mgmt processes and CMS implementation. • Direct the migration of existing content onto a new technical platform. • Accountable for implementation project plans and schedule, including identification of all required work packages and activities required for successful launch by acting as the Product Owner on a Scrum team. • Inputs into Steering Committee and other stakeholder presentations with senior executives. Key Qualifications • 8+ years experience in the financial services industry or working on Internet and/or Intranet projects and software applications • 5+ years in database application development: SQL2000/2005, ASP/ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web publishing • 2+ years experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices for design, development, testing, and deployment • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technical Communication, Library Science, Content Management Strategy, HCI, Business, or a related field • Experience and understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) • Experience with managing budgets and projects • Technical passion and drive: has a consuming drive to solve technical problems and "puzzles" and continuously strives to think "outside the box" to develop technical solutions. Understands technical trade-offs of various potential solutions and strategies. • Well-developed influential skills sufficient to recognize and respond to underlying concerns or multiple interests; resolve individual and unique concerns which may conflict with each other significantly • Experience with the Ektron CMS300, Sharepoint product or Microsoft CMS is an asset • Occasional travel is required | |||
