Description
Information Architect We are looking for an Information Architect to join our User Experience team. Reporting into the Director, User Experience the Information/Interaction/User Experience Architect will be responsible for assisting in the development of the overall user experience for our suite of web properties. Key Responsibilities •Define site architecture, navigation, and overall user experience that serves as a blueprint of the site upon which all other aspects are built •Work with business owners to understand their business models and goals and help define strategy, content, and features for design of their web product. •Analyze audiences/users and their information and functional needs. •Create wireframes, site maps, schematics, process maps, feature lists, mockups, visual specification, working prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience Key Qualifications Requirements: •2-4 years experience working in a web development/design team in a multimedia environment •Experience working on large, complex sites •Experience observing user research and translating user research into design decisions •BA or BS in one of the following: Graphic/Visual Arts, Library and Information Science, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Sciences, Marketing, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or a related area •Strong knowledge of site design; mastery in principles of Web design (HCI, HTML, CSS) •Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology •Strong knowledge of User Centered Design Principles and Practices •Strong knowledge of architecture-related software (Illustrator, Visio, Photoshop, MS Office, Acrobat, Dreamweaver) Competencies: •Exceptional communication skills •Good leadership and interpersonal skills •Detail-oriented •Comfortable and efficient working in a fast-paced environment We are committed to diversity and equal opportunity for all people.
