Description
The Web Analytics Analyst plays an important role in integrating and using Web Analytic solutions on large-scale sites and collaborates with the Online Marketing Web Production team. Primary Responsibilities • Collaborate with Online Marketing and business stakeholders to define report, metrics, and data needs; help business stakeholders determine appropriate metrics to measure goals. • Communicate business value of data and reports. • Create, update, distribute and present web analytic dashboards/reports on regular and ad hoc basis to business stakeholders and the Online Marketing team. • Interpret reports, discover areas of concern, identify opportunities for improvement, and communicate recommendations. • Define web page meta-tag values as needed to support data collection and reporting. • Track and report search engine placement and recommend changes to improve placement. • Be point of contact and liaison for other departments and divisions on analytics issues. • Produce and maintain concise, understandable documentation describing business needs and processes used to create reports. • Drive resolution of issues and problems. • Other responsibilities may be established by mutual agreement between Analyst and Manager. Key Qualifications • A four-year degree or equivalent experience • At least 3+ years of related experience • Ability to use multiple data reporting applications (preferably WebTrends), to efficiently extract data • Understanding of web technology (such as MOSS 2007) and how it affects web analytics • Excellent skill to manipulate data in MS Excel • Excellent written communication skills, especially with MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Experience creating and distributing web analytic reports • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills • Ability to understand and react appropriately to customer and team needs • Ability to identify whether a project can be achieved within a proposed budget or schedule • Ability to manage time effectively • A track record of maintaining and improving skills through training or self-research • Strong motivation to learn, willingness to be a strong team player, yet operate independently as required Additional Qualifications Preferred: • " Statistical understanding and experience " 2+ years experience with WebTrends " 1+ years experience with Google Analytics " Information Architecture experience
